# Exporters

Exporters determine what happens with a file after it has been converted. By default, a file is *exported* to your local hard drive but we are a growing list of other exporters.

Exporters can be used as a standalone skill as well. 

You need a paid [Filestar Subscription](https://filestar.com/pricing) to use exporters.
